Canby Grove Conference Center and Camp

Canby Grove offers every kind of lodging, from tent camping to staying in a hotel. There are tent campsites and RV hook-up campsites. There are cabins with a shared bath/laundry house, as well as a hotel with private baths. This year, there is an additional housing unit that will be available to us. It is a cross between the hotel-like lodge and a cabin. It is a lodge with multiple shared baths. I will post new photos of everything after May 6, when I am scheduled to meet with the camp.
The prices are very reasonable. The price on the registration form is per room, per cabin, or per campsite and not per person. So, families, bring everyone!
We thought it important to eat one meal per day as a group and dinner is the logical meal. The reason for this is to give us the opportunity on a daily basis to meet and share with people we don’t know. Bonds can be made while sitting over meals that can be the high point of gatherings. You know from last year that the food is tasty and plenteous. The kitchen is comfortable with Biblically kosher needs. We will again offer 2 meals per day, brunch and dinner, in order to cut costs.
Just a word about food. A few people were concerned last year because food was served on the Sabbath. We welcome you to bring and prepare your own food for the Sabbaths that we’re together if you are so convicted. One humble local family did so and never said a word to anyone concerning this matter. We also invite all to not judge anyone or any entity for eating in the cafeteria. We will probably be a group of hundreds that simply cannot reasonably obtain food except the camp feeds us. Can hundreds of people go to the local grocery store? Can additional scores bring meals on airplanes or on multiple day road journeys? The camp has neither the personnel nor the facility to prepare and store any more than what is required as it is needed. We are in exile and are doing our best to honor YHWH. Some wonderful day we will probably see manna again, but for now, we simply must offer meals. Please be tolerant, loving, and joyful.
Since we filled our meeting room last year, Canby Grove is working to upgrade a new main conference hall that will seat 1,000.
Recreational activities abound, from catch and release fishing for children, to bike paths, hiking trails, basketball, softball, and many other opportunities for fun in the outdoors.
