Registration
Thank you for your patience. The delay is the result of several inputs trying to balance the best rates against the needs of the campground. There is a “gap” between what the camp needs and what we feel some can afford. We know that people are struggling with the recession and some have even lost their jobs. We have prayed about this matter and feel that some Brit Hadassah plan of sharing is warranted. Those who need can find some relief under “The Joppa Plan.” (read more)
I pray that those who can afford even a small donation on behalf of The Joppa Plan will find it in their hearts to so provide. Matt, the camp manger, will register you and will inquire into whether or not you would like to bless others who would like to come. I pray that you consider this need.
As I have mentioned previously, it is too late for the camp to obtain online registration. Besides this, you’ll probably need the friendly voice of the camp manager to help you through the choices. The camp can take your credit card.
You can register immediately with a 25% down payment by credit card by calling (503) 266-5176 ext. 48. At a later date, you will receive information about the exact line-up of speakers and daily schedules and other details that we just haven’t finalized yet.
You can save money by rooming together. The lodge and cabins have varying assortments of queen and bunk beds. The capacity of the bunk house is greater with movable walls. The price of the rooms is per room, not per person, so sharing the cost of a room would really help with the overall cost. Tell Matt you’d like to share space and he will do his best to keep your name on a list and match you up with others “of like kind.” Even small families can share.
I remember attending a church wide camp meeting. We were put in a bunkhouse with 3 sets of bunk beds and 3 sets of parents. We all had very young children. We put the kids on the floor, the parents climbed into bunk beds, and everything was fine. I encourage you to share lodging costs.
The following is the best that can be obtained at this moment. The more people that sign up as soon as possible, the better the prices can be. The final price might change, depending upon the number of people that register. The more people, the better rates we can get. So please register with your deposit as quickly as possible so both we and the campground have more firmness regarding expectation and needs.
Option A includes 9 nights whether you leave after the High Sabbath on Monday evening or Tuesday morning. There is a talent show planned for Monday evening, so we encourage you to stay and enjoy the blessing of one additional night of fellowship with people you’ve “lived with” for a week and have begun to know.
Regarding the point of “living with” for a week, please come and stay the week. We as a people know the situation of the world right now as well as anyone. We also know the prophecies. Please come meet and enjoy new friends that might be of great support and comfort some day. It is my prayer that we all practice living in the camp of the Lord.
Since Canby Grove is registering you, they have set some guidelines:
- You can register by putting down 25% (non-refundable).
- After August 14, 2009, you will register by paying the total sum.
- If you plan to stay at Canby Grove, registering early will ensure that you get the lodging you want.
- Sorry, pets aren’t allowed except service dogs.
- Since Canby Grove is registering you, they will probably not be able to answer your question regarding the event itself. Questions about the event will best be answered by emailing info@centraloregonoutreach.com.
- Registration will be handled either per individual or per family. “Family” means people who are related and living in the same household.
- If you will be bringing roommates, or, if you would like to request roommates, just let Matt know. If you are calling to register and a roommate has already registered for the room, please tell Matt.
- To register, call Matt at Canby Grove at (503) 266-5176 ext. 48.
